Offenburg University of Applied Sciences

OFFENBURG UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCES is an educational and a research institution with a practical orientation. Today, the University forms a thriving community with over 4,300 students on two campuses and offers Bachelor's and Master's degrees. The University's Institute for Applied Research (IAF) which clusters the application-oriented research activities is in charge of the work in the proposed project. The IAF heads technology and innovative ideas from the fields of energy, medicine, robotics, mechanics and simulation. In the latter two fields, research in mechanics of materials and FE applications is done to develop advanced computational methods for the design and dimensioning of thermally and mechanically highly loaded components. The research activities and experiences in this field match the tasks in the proposal.
